I have a bad fear of the dentist so have put off needed dental care due to 2 bad experiences in another state. I had feelings of suffocating due to inadequate suctioning and was not appropriately numbed. Despite notifying previous dentist of this, I was not listened to. I relocated and finally got up the nerve face this head on. I walked into Herndon Modern Denistry and am so glad now I did. Receptionist Andrea fit me into the schedule giving me an appointment the next day. Dental assistant Gisele was very skilled throughout my care and equally kind. I explained my past experiences to Dr Hatem and she put me at ease. She examined my mouth thoroughly then explained the recommended treatment plan. She communicated to me the pressing priorities and listened to my financial concerns,wanting to maximize my insurance benefits. After seeing Dr Hatem, the team got to work running my insurance and fitting me in the same day for needed work. Costs that my insurance and that I was responsible for was reviewed. My questions were answered to my satisfaction. I had a previous commitment to a pilates class and the team encouraged me to go , then return to start my treatment plan.I felt very cared for medically and emotionally. When I returned, hygienist Bhakti did a deep cleaning with skill and kindness. She explained each step so I knew what to expect. Dr Hatem and dental assistant Giselle performed fillings with kindness and skill . They made sure I was appropriately numbed and comfortable, stopping when I needed a break. All maintained excellent hygienic techniques. The environment and their equipment was exceptionally clean. I work in healthcare and know good aseptic technique. Their practices were stellar. Andrea and Ami assisted with my next appointments to complete my treatment plan. Can't say enough.I was encouraged, supported and my experience was 5 stars plus.I no longer fear the dentist if I can keep this team. I write this review to recognize this team and thank them .

This office has helped be more confortable as I don’t like going to the dentist. However the staff was very polite and friendly and made the experience enjoyable.
